When the Rains Come

The rains came to my town in Texas in August, Hurricane Harvey bringing 54 inches of rain over a few days' time. About one third of my little town of Friendswood,Texas flooded. Fortunately, my house stayed high and dry even though it sits one house from a creek. Flooding is so awful because it ruins everything in the house-carpets, walls, pictures, furniture, etc. Nothing stays dry when this much rain invades. Even a few inches can mean expensive repairs. Many stories have been told about rescues during that terrible storm, but romance is everywhere and in times like these, relationships were formed. You can't keep a good romance down, ya' know!
