My Zen Place

The Antique Rose Emporium is a family favorite of ours. A mystical place out in the middle of the country a few miles from Brenham, Texas, it appears as the Vintage Rose Bazaar in Time-Crossed Wedding. Full of all kinds of plants it is, first of all, a nursery. It does, however, boast this little red church and several other antique houses that make it a wonderful place for a wedding. The family joke is about the end of the day there when everyone goes home, leaving it with no security but the cats who seem to guard the place. It's a zen place where the karma is good and no one would want to mess with it. You might have to deal with one of those cats!

Our daughter was married in this little red church, so it seemed a logical place to have Ashley and Robert marry in Escape in Time. Too bad they didn't quite get the job done before Abasi's men showed up.

It was a glorious spring day when we visited the place in March. This wonderfully zen frog came home with us and now sits proudly in our garden.

Do you have a zen place you like to visit? Let me know if you do and it might show up in my next novel!
