A Barge in Paris

We took a chance and booked an AirBnB for Paris because our family of seven couldn't find good hotel space. We found a barge nearly at the foot of the Eiffel Tower that looked suitable for us. It turned out to be a lot of fun! It was across the street from Bir Hakim train station and underground metro so we had no problem traveling anywhere in the city or even out to Versailles for the day.

Pretending to be Parisians, we walked down Boulevard de Grenelle, pushing our little cart, and bought our baguettes and fruit at the local Franprix grocery store, or stopped for a sidewalk dining experience, or maybe just a coffee. Paris is lovely year-round and we enjoyed perfect weather for our stay. My favorite, however, was sitting atop the barge and watching life on the river flow by. Heavenly!
